ABOUT THE  SITE-The site is an old pond  converted into a beautiful lake named Matasya gandha. Previously it was  place of post mortem and burning place of dead bodies spread over in an area of 5500x1200 sq

feet.It was in the year 1996 that a project over this bad land was taken up to convert it into Matasyagandha Lake surrounded by Raktkali   chosath yogini shaktipith temple around it. The lake is spread over in an area of 100 acres .It beared A cost of  about 80 lakhs where as the cost of construction of the temple is 8 lakhs.Rakt kali temple is in pagodal thatchup.Sixtyfour yogini temple is housed in pyramidal thatchup. Oldest sixtyfour yogini is told to be in Hirakud in Orisa and Jabalpur on the bank of

Narmada in MP. Both of these were in dilapidated  condition.   

So all the sixty four yognis were established afresh in their prescribed 

religious literature formats and poses at Saharsa, they are
