Approach over the location—Garib Nath Shiv temple is located in proper Muzafarpur the district head quarter which is linked with roadways and railways from the rest of the country .

About the site---The site is  temple of Lord Shiva. Local story about the Shivling is that  there was a Peepal tree on the land where the present temple is situated.The tree had seven branches . The land owner sold the land to the other party in his needy days.The purchaser wanted to build a house over it ;Naturally situation of the Pipal tree was a objectionable feature to the building design  So the  cutting of the tree was started . Miracle happened after falling of the sixth branch  and on falling of the seventh branch blood started oozing from the cut portion and a  Shivling got broken and water also started coming out  The land owner became nervous as well as astonished He also got  dream in the night to get the Shivling established in the temple there .So he made the  temple and got established the Shivling as Baba Garibnath.
FESTIVE PERIOD –Daily worship is done by the devotees.Special festive period is Shrawan month when water from various sacred rivers like the Ganges,Gandak  Ghaghra etc are brought  by the Kawarias  and poured over the Shivling.
VISITING PERIOD –All twelve months

  2. Baba Garibnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is also known as the second Baidyanath. It is believed that there was a banyan tree here and when the owner tried to cut the tree, he found a Shivalinga inside. Later that night, the owner dreamt of Baba Gabrinath, who ordered him to build a temple at the site and install the Shivalinga found by him in the temple.
