ABOUT THE SITE-It is beautiful high tower like temple
called Tripur Sundari.The statue of the deity is represented by earthen mound
covered by metal silver and brass. There
are four mounds representing Tripur Sundari,Mahakali,Mahalakshmi,and
Mahasharshwati Another mound by the side of it represents the priest Sridhar
Ojha who established this temple. Mythology goes that he is same Sridhar ojha
who established Vaishnov Debi pith at Jammu.Accordingto Tantra Shrokt ILLA,Pingla and Susumna chief functionary
veins of Human beings are represented by these deities.
There is one well by the side
of the temple.It is said that with chanting mantra of Tripur Sundari one draws
well water and worship the deity and drops it in mouth of person suffering from snake bite he gets cured.
Historical-It was kingdom of
Prithu Thakur and Jay Jay Thakur of Sakt dynasty.whose remnants are near
Jaynagar nearLakhisarai station.They got it from Pal king Praduman of Pal
dynasty who donated this to them in liu of
his son being cured of leprosy by tantra,mantra and medicine. Now a days
Tripur Sundari mahotsaw is also being celebrated for 3 days in March April
FESTIVITY-Makarsankrantri,Durgapuja,Mahashivratri
etc
PRECAUTION-Has records of remaining a disturbed area .Yet an area of
24 hours movement on national highway 30/31. Must have precaution for safety of
valuables.
