APPROACH  OVER  THE  LOCATION-The  area  can be  approached only by district board road from

Dehri-on-son  via  Rohtas  and  Akbarpur.Dehri-on-son  is  connected  by  roadways  and  railways  from

Rest  of  the  country.LANGUAGE-Hindi  and  Bhojpuri LODGING-Only  village hutment,like panchayat, health  centre,primary  school  building

Rest  houses  and  inspection  bunglows can  be  available  at  Banjari  and  Baulia  about  30kms  away  from  the  siteFOOD-On  villager’s  accord

Rice  sabji  and  chapatti  chokha  etc  may  be  had

after spending  appropriate  amount.Self  arrange  and  carry  readymade  food  is  better  option.WATER-Drinking  water  is  available only  from distant(about

1km) bank  of  river  Son Borewell  and  dug  wells are  less  available.LOCALTRANSPORT-Nothing  like  local  transport  is  there.Only  bullock  carts

can  be  had  on  the  mercy of  rich  villagers Self arrangement  is  better  option. 

ABOUT  THE  SITE-The  site  is  a  place  of  lord  Shiva  named  Jateshwar  dham located  in limestone 

Sandstone  cave, which  has  turned  into  local  tunnel  by  natural  action  of underground  water.

It  is  near  Dumarkhar  village(24:48’::83:53’) in Sunder-pahari  regionAlthough  in  existence  from  much  early  period,the  credit  of  discovery of  the  site   goes  to cow boy Dadan  bind  of Mohamadpur  tola, while  chasing  a  porcupine(shahil)in  early  years  of  21^st century.The  cave was found connected

With  a  number  of  tunnels which  contains  number

Number  of ponds  and  Shivling  like  structures  of  stalactite  and  stalcmite with  big  hairs  or  Jata  like

creation.

        Such  caves  and  tunnels  find  descriptions  in

Scriptures  like  “Chandrakanta  santati” and  “Bhutnath”by  Deokinandankhatri  and  “Himalaya  kah  raha  hai”by saint  Pilot baba besides  other  older  and pauranic  literatures.,which  tells  the  area

to  be  meditation  region of  Vishwamitra.
