ABOUT THE SITE –The site is of archaeological as well as historical importance .Records of Kittu,Kanigham,Priyarsan,Belgar etc show that remnants of big Buddhist shrine during Huensang time is located here. It was named as Gunwati-Ratni and Kunwa hillocks are seen south of Dharaut village and the shrine is by the side of the hills Mythological say is that the shrine was made by local King Chandrasen in memory of victory of Buddhist saint Gunwati over Madhavacharya in religious discourse
