ABOUT THE SITE—It is temple of Lord Shiva situated 4km SW of Sitamarhi town.The temple is 2kms SW of Punauradham the birth place of the Goddes Sita in Anhari village .

Local mythology is that the Shivling was dropped here from air in 1288..The temple has its own campus premises spread over in an area of 14 bighas. There is a pond also close to the temple.Festive seasons are Shivratri, Basant panchmi and chaturdasi
