APPROACH—The site is located in main township of Patna(q.v.)It is connected with roadway ,railways ,and air ways from rest of the country. After reaching Patna railway station one can avail direct auto rickshaw or mini bus services to reach to the site

ABOUT THE SITE-The site is of of archeological importance at about 6km from the Patna Junction railway station on the old by pass road.Study of historical litrature and scriptures on stone pillars and stone slabs and other artifacts like stone coins, idols ,earthen wares recovered from the excavation have proved that this place Kumhrar was the fort of emperor Ashoka. Recovery of eighty pillars inside atan km indicate the site of main building

with living and bathing place of the king . height of the pillars is 10 metres Foundation pilling has been marked to be about 2 metres. Inside the earth. Besides ,other excavations showing places of worship,meeting, with one Arogya bihar(health resort) in the suth mound .Rooms made of stone bricks have also been located .A museum is also there to look to the glimpses of artifacts found in excavation .

It has become a very good picnic spot for Patnaites specially on 1st January every year.A token entry fee is also charged on the main gate.

OTHER NEAR ABOUT SITES—Agam kuan,Pschim darwaja(west gate)Purab darwaja(east gate),Chanakya gufa,are near about sites related to Maurya,Shung,Kushan and Guptaperiods like Kumhrar
