About the site—The site is important place in BIHAR ,because Mahatma Gandhi stayed here along with his wife Kasturba Gandhi during freedom fighting movement .Bhitiharwa is a village in Gaunaha block of West Champaran district.Freedom movement started by Gandhi later on came to be known as 'Champaran Satyagraha' in the Indian history.
It was decided to preserve this place and articles used by Mahatma Gandhi and develop it as tourist place.
